Cheese

So, I know I have an obsessive and addictive personality. One of the reasons I am fat :-)

But, this is a yummy and delicious obsession! Cheese :-) Specifically, fresh mozzarella that I marinade.

The marinated mozzarella in the store tastes wonderful, but it looks clumpy, not floating around like the fresh mozzarella in whey does. So, I buy the fresh mozzarella, the smallest size I can find (the Pearl size is 1/10th of an oz, so 10 of the balls are one ounce).

Marinade it with extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, roasted garlic, and Italian herbs, overnight or longer. Its awesome!

Note: Im currently not really watching my calories or fat, if it is good fat (like extra virgin olive oil). Also, a lot of the oil does not stick to the cheese, and you are left with uber flavored olive oil at the end of it.

So, its approximately 140 calories and 6 grams of protein in a 1 ounce serving (10 of the little bitty balls.) :-)

I’ll be experimenting with this over the next week or so :-)
