So, remember my dumping post?
Yeah, it wasnt dumping. It was a gallbladder attack.
Two weeks after that, I had the same thing happen with McDonalds chicken nuggets. Then, last friday, it happened again, with italian sausage soup.
I realized that my symptoms matched up with a gallbladder attack more than they did with dumping. I made an appointment with my doctor, had an ultrasound the next day. I have “several small mobile stones less than 5mm.” Which is good and bad.
Its good because it means I have a high probability of keeping my gallbladder. Actigall is a medication that many WLS patients are on after surgery to prevent gallstones. It can also dissolve already formed gallstones.
Its bad because the ducts that connects the gallbladder to the intestinal tract are about 2-3 mm in size (confirmed by the Ultrasound!). which means the stones are small enough to migrate down and get stuck. So, I have to be careful with the fat content of the foods that I eat to try to prevent another attack.
So, thats my update :) 2 more pounds to 100 pounds lost! :-)
